往往有着不一样的表达方式
甚至塑造出截然不同的思维结构

Different languages can describe the same thing in very different ways
They can even shape entirely different ways of thinking
我第一次听到“巴别塔”的故事时很好奇：
如果 神没有这样做
人类是否就不需要经历语言的隔阂？
我是否也可以少走一些学习语言的弯路？

When I first heard the story of the Tower of Babel, I was curious
If God had never confused human language
would we still experience these barriers between one another? Would I have avoided some of the struggles of learning a new language?
我曾为语言的能力向 神祷告
希望能够被迅速提升
然而回顾自己的学习经历
我逐渐意识到
语言并不是一份可以被跳过过程的恩赐
真正的成长
往往伴随着时间、坚持
以及不断面对自身局限的过程
I remember praying and asking God to improve my language ability
hoping I could become fluent much faster
But as I look back on my own journey
I gradually realized that language is not a gift that allows us to skip the process
Real growth comes through time, perseverance
and facing our own limitations again and again
语言不只是沟通的工具
更是一种进入他者世界的途径
当一种新的语言被理解
它所承载的思维、文化与价值观
也会一同被打开
这种经历带来的不只是惊叹
更是一种对差异的尊重以及由此而生的敬畏

Language is more than a tool for communication
It is a way of entering another person’s world
When a new language is understood
the ideas, culture, and values carried within it begin to open as well
What comes from that experience is more than surprise
It is a growing respect for differences
and a sense of awe that comes from encountering something beyond ourselves
Language records how people understand the world
It reveals both the distance between us and the connections that bring us together

在认识汉字结构、历史与文化的过程中
学习接纳不同的存在方式
因为唯有愿意放下自身原有的框架
我们才能真正开始学习接纳
而这，也正是我们在 神面前应有的态度

Here, I would like to invite you to explore the beauty of Chinese characters with me.
As we discover their structure, history, and cultural meaning,
we also learn to appreciate different ways of seeing and understanding the world.
Because only when we are willing to set aside our own assumptions
can we truly begin to learn and to receive.
That is also the attitude we should have before God.
